Journals for people who care, by people who care.

Wykeham's was created to solve a problem. Our founder, George, spent years searching for a journal that was both deeply considered and exhilaratingly simple, at a fair price point. This didn’t seem to exist. And so, the Wykeham’s Executive Journal was born.

Fast-forward six years and we have expanded our product range, perfected our craft and dialled into the detail. Every day that goes by we continue to celebrate and advocate for the time-honoured and enduring power of the written word. We do this by sharing our journals, our ideas and our passion with fascinating people, just like you.

We are committed to creating a profound writing experience for those who wish to preserve their memories and feel the benefits of an age-old craft in their lives. In fact, our journals draw inspiration from the Anglo-Saxon Chronicles, commissioned by Alfred the Great to document the history of his kingdom. Why? Because today, it remains one of the few surviving records of its time.

The act of recording life’s daily events means moments and memories are safeguarded from the passage of time. This is what Wykeham’s is all about. In your hands, your journal is the quintessential vessel for thoughts that might otherwise be lost.

We promise that our journal will always be simply designed, giving you maximum flexibility to plan your days. It is built to last, so you’ll always have a record of life’s events for years to come. And, most importantly, we use paper of the finest quality, because writing your entries should only ever be a real pleasure.

We believe you will be hard-pressed to find a journal that’s been thought about as much as this one. It’s for people who care, by people who care.

If you’re reading this now, that means you’ve arrived at our ‘About’ section. We’re so happy you’re here.

Our brand is our livelihood and our love. It’s a reflection of the things we hold dear.

But we won’t gatekeep: we’re here to share our genuine belief in the generative, positive power of the written word, and we’re excited about what that holds for you personally.

We care about writing, about ideas and history. We care about you, too. Without you, there is no Wykeham’s.

Our journals are the carefully curated sum of our historical and literary interests. That’s because we want you to feel the same spark that we feel when putting pen to paper.

Let yourself light up.

Wykeham’s journals are more than just something to write in. They stand for our belief that the written word is a hallmark of humanity; that it connects us creatively through space and time.

Writing can propel you towards a happier, more reflective, fulfilled life. We’ve experienced this. You can too.

Wykeham’s is Founded

2018

Wykeham’s is born in Winchester after George realised the perfect diary didn’t exist – at least, not at a price point most people could afford, with a full page for both Saturday and Sunday. The Executive Journal launched in the UK in September and quickly found an audience.

Listening and Improving

2019

George continued to refine the Executive Journal based on customer feedback. Every improvement was made with care, focusing on thoughtful design and everyday practicality.

Expanding the Range

2020

We introduced the Mid-Year Executive Journal to support those who plan differently. Another step forward in the Wykeham's journey.

Personalisation and Global Growth

2021

We expanded into the US with both Executive and Mid-Year journals, and launched personalisation – allowing customers to make each journal truly their own.

Sustainability and Refinement

2022

With continued support from our loyal customers, we refined our branding and designs, and proudly made all Wykeham’s products FSC certified.

New Markets and New Ideas

2023

We expanded into Canada and Germany, launched the Productive and Resourceful Journals, and welcomed Freya to the team finally.

A New Chapter

2024

We relocated our headquarters to Oxford and introduced three new colours: Rose, Navy Blue and Conker. It was our best year yet – a year of connection, creativity, and community building.

Bigger Range, Bigger Vision

2025

We launched notebooks and added new colours: crimson and racing green. Alongside a refreshed website and expanded office, we’re continuing to grow with purpose.
